Great Services
We believe that it is vital for a church to have a life changing church service. This is usually on Sunday but may be held also at other times of the week. Most Australians relate to Christians going to church on a Sunday. The church needs to be relevant to people who live in a multi-media soaked environment. Our messages must be practical, easily understood, helpful, life changing and inviting. Our music must be relevant, inspiring, and allow the power of god to touch peoples lives. After service it’s important to connect with new comers and warmly welcome new people. Our facilities must be modern, comfortable and excellent so that members are pleased to bring along new comers.

Community Impact
Our Vision is “Reaching out Changing lives”. It’s what we do out there in the community that really makes a difference this needy world in which we live.
For most of us we spend around 90% of our working days in the marketplace. That is where we must excel. The church reaches out to the community currently by engaging in:
1. Youth Ministry – Friday nights
2. Play groups for young mums
3. Kid’s Hope – Mentoring kids in the local primary school
4. Global Care Project at Kinglake

Discipleship based
It is our firm conviction that all Christians need to grow by being in a discipleship relationship. This is not common in our independently minded Australian culture. All our small groups and leadership training in this church is done in small groups we call discipleship groups. In a discipleship group we:
1. Tell the story of what God is doing in our lives. God is at work in our lives all the time.
2. Read the scriptures and answer the questions – What is God saying to me through these verses? And also What will I do to respond to that message.
3. Pray for the people God has called you to reach with the gospel.

Pathways
In this church there is a simple journey to ensure success as a disciple of Jesus Christ. This simple three step journey is:

1. Connect with God
2. Connect with others
3. Serve God in His kingdom.

1. Connect with God – this begins with attending a weekend service at Plenty Valley. At each service people can connect with God in a meaningful way for the first time or for the 100th time. We will teach you how to connect with God throughout your week as you grow in God and learn His ways.
2. Connect with others – being a disciple of Christ means you are being discipled. You are a learner. This happens best in a small group we call a discipleship group. In this group you will be guided and nurtured to grow in your relationship with Christ and with others. We cannot do this journey alone. Growth is dependent on how we learn to live out our Christian lives with one another.
3. Serve – God has gifted every believer with gifts and talents to use for His Glory. We will help you discover what you are gifted to do and find a place of serving for God. This will be both within the body of Christ and also in the community that we are actively reaching with the love of God.

Purple Book
We use a great tool for helping people grow. It’s called the Purple Book. This book has lessons that teach you the foundations of Faith for every believer. Please grab yourself a copy as soon as you can. Make sure the inside front cover has the “Living out the purple book” insert. This discipleship journey is not about what we know, it’s about what we have put into practice.
